this blog is named after some postcards that came in the mail from the mojave desert town, pop. 4,830, from someone i didn't know, containing unsolicited and wayward views on issues of the day, including newspaper clippings and handmade cartoons.

ha! i can't believe you outed what my apartment looks like right from the start! well, this is a short posting to start the sewing circle bc i am late packing to leave for the beach, but start the countdown to my eviction now. my dispute with the landlord over the 2-foot tall hole in the "wall" (really quarter inch cardboard, installed without necessary city permits and failing to meet city requirement for thickness, some reporting on my part found) has led me to withold rent. we'll see how this goes.
in the meantime, i've been seeing good things from my favorite post writer ... and it's a really fun week for schadenfreude at work. check out luke bizzie (or so his nameplate says) and my other cubicle neighbors' fascination with the star wars kid

"i believe in living in one room. one empty room with just a bed, a tray, and a suitcase. you can do everything either from your bed or in your bed--eat, sleep, think, get exercise, smoke--and you would have a bathroom and a telephone right next to the bed." - andy warhol
no need to expand into the rest of that apartment - and let the underexposition begin.
